How to accept Jesus

It is so easy; the work has been done already. You just need to declare it in faith for it to be a reality to you.

However, you need to answer this question? Why do you think you need him? With your mind steadfast on this repeat the following

'Jesus, I accept you into my life. I believe your death and resurrection has taken care of …. (that concern). Thank you, Lord, for beyond this I have now been enlisted to enjoy all the benefits you have for me. Amen'.

Jesus Wept, unravelling the puzzle and lessons (John 11:1-45)

John 11: 1-45 has been a puzzle that many have not been able to unravel. It was the story of how Jesus waited for 4 days and healed Lazarus after he was dead. Aside from trying to know why Jesus wept; there is another question that can be asked here; which is ‘why did Jesus have to wait for 4 days?’. I think we should start from there. It is easy, vs 4 says, ‘it is for God’s glory’. BUT does that mean that he went there to display his power; to show that I can raise him up so that people will believe in me because of my ‘magic’. No! God has all the powers; He does not need to prove himself to any mortal.

He could have healed him that same hour but he didn’t! WHY? He has done it before but those people had faith that delivered it. Mary’s level of faith was ‘if only you can be here… vs 21,32’.**evidences have shown that for great miracles to be done’ Jesus requires someone with virtue of faith to draw it from him. No wonder he had to wait. Jesus actually had the intent (bible says he loved him and his sister vs 5) but there was just nothing he could do without faith.

For Jesus to be there was almost impossible (vs 8) but he was determined to risk all and go at night .He really wanted to heal him. This was the reason why he cried when he saw him wrapped up like a dead man. He was moved with emotion and couldn’t help but express it but of the unbelief of men.

Then he started taking some measures of faith. Firstly he said the sickness was not unto death vs 4; then he said he sleeps he needs waking up, vs 12-13. While he was waiting he was communing with the father, praying for Mary the way he prayed for Peter. How did I know this vs 41 he thanked the Father for answering him.

Another thing is he only minded the person with faith (the way Moses believed the report of Caleb and Joshua). He couldn’t do it before because there was no faith but now he found a small seed of faith in Mary’ he dwelled on that and developed it.

**Jesus was almost certain there would be a miracle. A miracle worker always knows where and with who he is sure he would get a miracle done. Jesus knew there was someone there that has chosen the right path. Mary had the word in her (the bible started that at every opportunity she stayed by Jesus’ side to learn the word) but she just couldn’t link it up to give her the right understanding for the delivery of such deed. She knew if Jesus were to be there such wouldn’t have happened and she also knew Jesus would raise him up on the day of resurrection. Jesus helped her understanding by telling her that ‘resurrection’ is not a day but a ‘person’; then she understood that Jesus is the resurrection.

Lessons:
1. Hearing the word of God at every available opportunity, whether you think you need it or not is very important; it deposits in you strange solutions to tomorrow problems.

2. With the word of God in you, you have the capacity to give birth to miracle** even though you walk through the valley of shadow of death fear no evil.

3. Instead of giving up or looking elsewhere for help, pray to God to send helper that will bring in you the understanding (faith) that will set you free.

The Power of Testimony

This is another principle of the act/move of God. It is a wisdom of God. It is a powerful fuel of faith.

Just as the word of God is life, the testimony of the act of God is potent (able to replicate in multiple folds). Testimony, when placed on the right ground, supernatural replicate itself.

Gods (as touching His dealings with man) doesn't have a new move, he has walked his walk, he has settled all things. And His work has the life to replicate itself where there is faith (understanding of the walk of God). The testimony of the divine protection of David's sheep gave birth to the defeat of Goliath.

USES AND FORMS OF TESTIMONIES
It can be packaged into a praise.
It can be a source of strength, reason to hope.
It can be weaponized, they overcame by the word of their testimony.
You can understand God and His word by studying it.
It can be use as a tool of encouragement, you can help your neighbour by sharing it.

Testimony time is a crucial part of a service, do not joke with it.

The potency of holy communion

It is a name given to a practice which was unveiled by Jesus.
It is about taking the flesh and the blood of Jesus. What does it even mean and how important could it be? This is a question that has been on for ages; some even call it mystery. Understand this, Jesus dint come to create a new movement but to fulfil the law.

The reason for this topic is to open your eyes to the potency of holy communion. You need to start seeing it beyond a remembrance thing or a commandment.

What is communion?
In Luke 24:30-31, we could see (aside from remembrance sake) what else communion could do, and this was shown by Jesus - it opens their eyes just the way the forbidden fruit changed Adam.
Communion is just as potent as the trees in the garden of Eden; it is like a software (a coding system), which automatically registers a function following installation. The Bible says 'and there eye of understanding was opened'

Jesus was described as the bread of life and the explanation is easy. The nourishment of the tree of life is the word (man shall live...by word) which became (refined into) flesh (bread).
Adam lived by the fruit of the tree of life in the garden of Eden. This fruit contains what Adam needed on daily basis and it constituent kept changing to take care of Adam's need; so also is the communion.

Two examples:
1. Intake of manna (it sustained the Israelites for 40 years and none was sick).
2. 1King19:8, Elijah needed to embark on a journey and just a single meal sustained him for 40 days .

Lessons:
1. It should be taken on regular basis with understanding even in your home.
2. Taking it unlawfully is a disaster (because it is more than a remembrance thing, it is very potent), that was why God chased Adam away from the garden.

Covenant Walk

Covenant walk is walking by the principle of God's word which is evident in the life of His servant (the one God called). It is the wisdom of God on how to triumphantly survive (enjoy benefits of perfection) while learning (improving) on the walk in the Spirit (the blessing of God is only for the perfect); it has a positive effect on Spirit walk as it builds 'the fear of God'.

It is different from walking in the Spirit; the better you are at walking in the Spirit, the easier it is for you to walk in the covenant.
Solomon walked in the statue of his father and it was said of him that he loved the Lord. Solomon is a covenant walker.

Few walked perfect before the Lord but many can walk in the covenant that is why you can save soul (bring into the fold of those that love the Lord).

Lot was another covenant walker. Elisha was a covenant walker, he referred to God as God of Elijah.

Walking with God is starting from the scratch but walking in the covenant is standing on the shoulder of giant; you start enjoying from day one.

The ministry of John the Baptist came to simplify it. Baptism into a new life of discipleship, just as the Israelites are to Moses. And you will be called his name, have his covering. (for He only give the instruction to Moses).

Only Jesus has the power to give coverage, he said all power in heaven and earth is given unto him. Job could not give coverage, David couldn't give coverage. Matthew 28:18-20.

Covenant practice brings about the fear of God that cause belief. It brings about manifestations of signs thereby facilitating the love to learn from God (both the milk and the strong meat).

Solomon observed all his father's ceremony and deeds, followed his instructions and even completed his work (even though he did not fully understand them) and he obtained good report. Solomon had greater achievements when compared with David; same way Jesus said greater works shall the disciples do. Covenant practice brings greater grace that makes room for greater works.

Three Types Of Attack

What is Attack? A cascade of problems, one leading to another producing a very ugly picture. A very rich and comfortable one becoming wretched.

Attacks can come from three different sources (punishment from God, attack from devil, and man made

1. It is important to understand that an attack can come from God. So many cases of such has been seen in the Bible. This is the most feared attack because most often than not, it leads to death. Cases includes the following:

Making yourself enemy of whom God loves (diseases of Egyptians).
Intruding into God's property eg Abimelech (Gen. 20:3,7).
Mishandling of oneself in the presence of God eg uncircumcised Moses child (Exodus 4:24-26), those that lied before Peter (Acts 5:9), the man that touched the ark (2 Samuel 6:7), Moses that hit the rock hard (Number 20:11-12) Pride, examples are Herod and the rich fool.

2. Attack from devil; devil's wind of wrath flows around the earth like water (enough for each day is the evil thereof); it only affect those that are not guarded. God built edges around Job and so he remained untouchable. Devil is an opportunist like a lizard looking for crack wall to penetrate; if you let him for too long, he builds a castle.

3. Man made; sometimes, devil did not attack, and God is not punishing you but because of your bad habit/behaviour, you can produce a cascade of setbacks (syndromes). Example is as it is in Prov. 6:10-11.

Fear of the Lord

The beginning of wisdom is the fear of God. What then is the fear of God. The fear of God is the passkey to the richness of God, without it, one is just a religious observer.

Exodus14:31 'And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.' The deeds of God instil the fear of God and cause 'belief'. The fear here is different from the fear of man, it is called 'awe'.

Jeremiah 32:40 'And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not turn away from them, to do them good; but I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me.' It is the seed that remains in the heart and makes one not to be able to sin.

Proverb 29:25. Awe is different from fear; fear binds someone, awe is just like when one is brainwashed (without anyone forcing you, you willing go for God). It makes one believe God, appreciate the supremacy of God, gives one the willingness to want to obey and worship God (Psalm 5:7).

The Bible says it is the beginning of wisdom, this is only attribute that can make you appreciate the instruction of God; wisdom is all about instruction of God.
