Milk and Strong meat

John: 16:12. 'I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now'

The above was the word of Jesus and it can also be likened to the word of Paul in 1 Corinthians 3: 1-3. 'And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?'.

The only teaching a new convert can understand is the inner witness of salvation (milk) but the further understanding needed to live the godly life are understandings which the spiritual mental capacity of a babe cannot fathom.

These further understandings (strong meats) are understandings you get by virtue of your walk with God. You walk with God when you put your faith to work. Every successful faith work, just like physical exercise, gives you the flexibility to undertake more 'difficult' faith work - this makes you stronger on daily basis.

There is need for you to understand that the story of the acts of God is not complete without your own story. God wants you too to do what you see Him do. He is also compiling his deeds through you.
